14. Reading. Likes and dislikes of an introvert and an extravert

Meet Anna and Max. They were interviewed for an article about introverts and extraverts for your school's online blog. Read the monologues and choose who the statements below are about.

 

 

 

 

I like interacting with people, as it gives me energy and joy. I love being the centre of attention and sharing my ideas and emotions. Furthermore, I find it really interesting to give speeches and arguing my point of view.

 

It’s very important for me to make my friends feel comfortable with me. I’m always the first to offer some help and support for them.

However, I don't like it when people don't respect my personal space. For example, I can’t stand hugging with unfamiliar people. It also annoys me when people want to talk only about themselves and interrupt others. Finally, sometimes it can be difficult for me to find a common language with those who do not share my interests.

 

 

I prefer to spend time in a calm, quiet environment. I like analysing my thoughts and feelings.

I prefer communicating with people in comfortable and familiar conditions in which I feel confident to speak out. That is why I often avoid interacting with people if a situation is not right for me.

Sometimes it can be difficult for me to adapt to new things, so I prefer to have time to get to know new people. That means I need a lot of time to make new acquaintances. So, if I have a chance, I always choose to spend time with my good old friends.
