13. Reading. New Year's resolutions

A New Year’s resolution is a tradition when a person promises himself/herself to change something in the coming year (to start a new hobby or achieve a goal). Read the resolutions and choose who the statements below are about.

 

 

 

 

Anna. I feel tired every evening, and it’s really hard for me to walk up any stairs. I also have a lot of acne on my face. So, I’m going to lose weight and start doing sports regularly. I believe it will help me feel and look better. My mum is going to join me. We are having our first training on Sunday. I hope we will succeed.

 

Josh. I’ve never left my home town. I love it, but it’s small and there’s nothing to do. So I’m going to buy a car next year. Actually, my parents will help me with the money. Anyway, I’m going to invite my friends for a long road trip across the country. It’ll be lots of fun, I believe. We will remember this adventure forever!

 

Sam. Next year will be my last year of high school. I will have to take the state exams, and I’m really nervous about it. I’ve promised my parents that I will study hard to pass it successfully. Tomorrow I’m meeting with my personal maths tutor for the first time. I hope she will help me to do it.

 

Igor. I’m totally addicted to social media. I have \(10\) or \(15\) accounts on different platforms, but I don’t even use them! I’m going to use them less. To be honest, I’ve always wanted to challenge myself and stop using my phone for a week. I believe that will be really hard but useful for me.
