Matamata is a beautiful place with lots of green hills and farms. It's a really nice place to live because it's and calm. Matamata is on the North Island of New Zealand, and it's about two hours away from Auckland, the biggest city in New Zealand.
One of the most famous attractions in Matamata is Hobbiton Movie Set, which they used as a filming for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films. You can go on a tour of Hobbiton and see all the little houses and gardens.
The nature here is amazing! One of my favourite places is called Wairere Falls. It's a really beautiful waterfall, and the view the top is amazing.
If you want to find some shopping or food options, the town centre has shops and restaurants where you can buy souvenirs or a meal.
The people in Matamata are very friendly, so you will feel you're at home.
