14. Reading. From an ordinary day to an extraordinary adventure

  

 

 

  

It was an ordinary day in Willow Creek. The sun was shining, and the birds were singing. But for two teenagers, Lily and Max, it was a day they would never forget. Lily and Max were best friends, and they loved exploring the woods around their town.

 

That afternoon, they went hiking in the forest. They were walking in the woods when they saw a strange stone. The stone was glowing with purple light. Lilly and Max touched the stone at the same time. When they touched it, some magic powers transported them to an unusual place.

 

Everything there was different from their world. A beautiful castle was floating in the air and unusual people were walking around. They were very tall and slim. All of them had long wavy hair and purple skin. Lily and Max were amazed and took some photos. When the people of the magic land saw Lily’s smartphone, they thought that the gadget was a magical device. So, they believed that Max and Lily were powerful magicians and asked them to defeat the evil witch.

 

Lily and Max knew that they didn't have any superpowers, but they decided to help the people of the magic land.
When Lily and Max came to the witch’s cave, the witch was singing and dancing around the fire. Lily and Max walked into the cave, and they took a flash photo of the witch. The witch was scared of the bright light and the flash of the camera, but she didn’t run away.

 

The witch started singing her scary song again. While she was singing, Lily and Max were thinking about what to do next. The witch’s song made them feel not very well, but Max turned on some rock music on his phone. The music was louder than the witch’s song, and the witch looked scared. She stopped singing and disappeared.  

  

The people of the magic land were happy that Lily and Max helped them. The teenagers returned to their world, having a lot of unforgettable memories. But, strangely, when Lily was scrolling through the photo feed on her phone, she didn't see any photos from the magic land.
