The modern Royal family consists of many family members, the most powerful of them is the King or the Queen. Charles \(III\) became King in \(2022\) after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth \(II\).
The family has many duties. They represent the country at international events, hold different ceremonies and support charitable organizations. You probably heard of coronation or wedding ceremonies of royal family members. Media have shown these significant events on TV since the reign of Queen Elizabeth.
Buckingham Palace has been the official residence of the Royal family since the \(19\)th century. This famous building has become one of the most attractive landmarks for tourists from all over the world.
Windsor Castle and Sandringham House have become symbols of the monarchy, too. Many official events are held there.
