Six things AI image generators can’t do well
These days, we can use AI image generators to create pictures very fast. They can create images of beautiful sky, water, trees, flowers, and many other objects. But there are some things that AI trainers just couldn’t teach them.  1. AI image generators can’t produce good pictures of hands and fingers. You can see extra strange fingers in many pictures. And if a person in the picture holds something, like another person’s hand, it can look really bad!  2. Many text generation programs could write texts years ago. But AI image generators are bad at generating images of letters and numbers. Some of the modern AI image generators are close to learning that, so maybe they will be able to write words soon.  3. In AI-created pictures, people can have cheeks and eyebrows that look real, but they usually have very strange eyes. These eyes could look into different directions, or they could be of different size. Such eyes often look unrealistic and unnatural. Some people who could see such pictures called them 'horror film characters'.  4. Teeth are a problem, too. In many pictures, you could see a beautiful mouth with good lips, smiling and showing teeth from a horror film.  5. AI has also problems with producing images of human feet, toes and heels. It usually creates strange shoes or boots instead of these body parts. Sometimes it could make shoes with front part that looks like toes. How could you explain AI what's wrong? In English, people call the front part of a boot or shoe 'toes', and its back lower part a 'heel'. All your shoes have toes and heels, just like your own foot! So AI is not completely wrong. It just believes every foot is a boot! It is possible that AI won't be able to draw realistic feet and toes in the nearest future.  6. Image generators can’t create good images of tools, such as scissors or tennis rackets. You could probably draw them well enough when you were a small kid. Image generators can’t do it. Maybe later they will be able to understand what a 'tool' is. But now, the trainers just can't explain that to AI. Do you want to become an AI trainer? Will you be able to teach AI any new things? |
