Условие задания:
6 Б.
1. Why is our planet becoming hotter?
2. How can individuals reduce waste in their daily lives?
3. Which animal species is the most endangered today?
4. What are the advantages of using “clean” energy sources?
5. How does garbage affect water creatures?
6. What produces the air we breathe?
7. How is modern technology helping save animals?
A. The Earth’s atmosphere acts like a protective blanket around our planet. Gases such as carbon dioxide keep heat from the sun to make the planet warm. However, human activities like driving cars and running factories have increased the amount of these gases significantly. This process is known as the greenhouse effect, and it leads to global warming. As a result, we see more unpredictable weather and melting ice in the Arctic.
B. Forests are often called the “lungs of the Earth” for a very important reason. Through photosynthesis, trees absorb carbon dioxide and release the oxygen we need to survive. Furthermore, large jungles provide a safe home for millions of unique plants and animals. When we cut down these forests, we lose a natural defense. Protecting our woodlands is essential for keeping the air clean and healthy for everyone.
C. Our oceans are currently facing a massive crisis caused by plastic pollution. Every year, millions of tons of trash end up in the deep sea. Sea turtles and fish often mistake small, colourful pieces of plastic for food. This can lead to their death. Cleaning up our seas and oceans is a challenge that requires international cooperation and a lot of effort.
D. Moving away from oil and coal is a vital step for a cleaner future. Sources like solar, wind, and water power are known as renewable energy. This means they will never run out, unlike traditional fossil fuels we use today. While installing solar panels can be expensive at first, they save money over time. Most importantly, these green technologies do not produce any harmful smoke or air pollution. Switching to clean energy helps protect the environment for future generations.
E. Protecting nature does not always mean staying away from wild and remote areas. Scientists are now using drones to track endangered species safely. These modern tools allow experts to watch animals without disturbing their natural behaviour. Digital tags also help researchers follow migration patterns across continents and oceans. This data helps governments decide which areas should become protected national parks.
F. You do not have to be a scientist to help protect the environment every day. Small changes in our daily habits can make a massive difference over time. Many people follow the “Three Rs,” which stand for Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. By carrying a reusable water bottle, you can avoid using single-use plastic. Recycling paper and glass also helps to decrease the amount of trash in landfills. Every person has the power to contribute to a greener and cleaner world.
